Girls Take Flight Kick-off Event in San Diego. Offers FAA Certification for girls in HS plus $2500

San Diego, California Mar 6, 2023 (Issuewire.com) - The Kick-Off event will feature three accomplished speakers: Gretchen West, founder of the Brayker Consulting Group and Ceiling Braykers Coaching; Shellie Baxter, founder of "Our Generic Legacy"; and Christine Asaro, UAS project advisor and leader of the Unmanned Aircraft Systems for SDG&E.

Gretchen West was the 2019 Recipient of the Commercial Drone Alliance and the 2017 Women to Watch Awards. Shellie Baxter focuses on memorializing future generations of BIPOC communities through her approach Legacy Tracing. Christine Asaro is an expert in Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) and leads these efforts for SDG&E.

The "Girls Take Flight" program aims to provide a unique opportunity for girls in 10th and 11th grade to explore careers in the drone industry. The event will take place at the Elementary Institute of Science, located at 608 51st Street, San Diego, CA 92114, from 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm.

The event is open to girls in 10th and 11th grade, their families, and friends. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn about the program and hear from the featured speakers about their experiences and successes in the industry.

Food and Refreshments will be provided, theres no cost to attend the Kick-Off event.
