Brisbane, Queensland Aug 29, 2025 (Issuewire.com) - On August 18, the Shincheonji Church of Jesus, the Temple of the Tabernacle of the Testimony, Peter Tribe, Tanzania Church (Head Instructor Yoon Hyun-chul, hereafter Shincheonji Tanzania Church) held an open Revelation Bible exam with local Protestant pastors and Shincheonji members in major Tanzanian cities, including Dar es Salaam.
The exam was designed to evaluate whether believers who hope for heaven are faithfully keeping the words of Revelation (Rev 22:1819) and to encourage participants to stand rightly before God.
The test included 10 main questions and 33 sub-questions, all centered on Revelation. Beyond knowledge, the exam prompted participants to reflect on whether they truly believed and practiced the Word.
A total of 138 people participated, including 98 Protestant pastors and 40 Shincheonji members. Unlike last years exam in Koreawhere only one pastor from a traditional denomination took partthis marked the first overseas event with large-scale pastor participation.
Results showed a significant gap between groups, with Shincheonji members scoring an average of 95 points, while Protestant pastors averaged 7 points. However, the primary focus was not on competition, but on creating an opportunity for self-examination through Revelation and drawing closer to God.
One pastor who took part shared: Seeing Shincheonji members answer so confidently today made me reflect deeply on my own faith and calling as a pastor. I will study Revelation through the Zion Christian Mission Center, guide my congregation on Gods true path, and teach them accurately so they may enter heaven.
Chairman Lee Man-hee of Shincheonji Church of Jesus has consistently emphasized Revelation 22:1819, stating: To enter heaven, one must not add to or subtract from the words of Revelation, but fully understand and keep them.He further explained: The standard for discerning truth and falsehood, orthodoxy and heresy, is not human tradition or doctrine, but the Word of God alone.
This event follows a similar Bible exam previously held in Korea with pastors from traditional churches, which drew attention at the time. Out of 313 participants, only one pastor from an established denomination joined. In contrast, the Tanzanian event stands out as the first large-scale overseas exam with strong pastor involvement.

A Shincheonji Church representative remarked: The Bible exam is not simply a test of knowledge, but a way to confirm whether ones faith is truly based on the Word of God. We are thankful to see more pastors joining both domestically and internationally. Our hope is that more churches and believers will come together to interact and unite through Scripture.
Since its establishment in 2018, Shincheonji Tanzania Church has continued to grow steadily, with approximately 2,440 members as of August this year.
The church remains committed to advancing Scripture-centered faith through active collaboration with local pastors.
